The Client

The Station Wahroonga is a trendy cafe and wine bar located in the heart of Wahroonga on Sydney's North Shore. The owners had decided to completely renovate and re-brand their cafe which was formally known as Cafe Laurella.

The Station Wahroonga was always meant to be on the cutting edge of hospitality in such a trendy suburb like Wahroonga. The owners had a clear vision for the refurbishment and menu changes. What they needed was a strong brand with a good web presence to drive new business and keep their regulars coming back.

I went about developing a strategy to achieve my clients objectives. In order to do this efficiently and effectively I used three steps. Not only did I want The Station to have an awesome brand and a great looking website, but I wanted to drive traffic to the website and in turn convert users to customers.

  • Branding
I created a clean and modern logo that epitomises everything that The Station is. In addition to designing the logo, I also designed menus, business cards and gift certificates.
  • Development
I developed a responsive, custom designed website that fits perfectly in with the branding. The website looks great on devices of all shapes and sizes including the ever popular iPhone and iPad. I also coded the website to be Search Engine friendly and to quickly rise to the top of Google's rankings.
  • Traffic
In order for the branding and website to reach its potential I had to create a way to drive traffic to website. In order to do this I setup the Social Media platforms Facebook and Instagram for the client. We spent a conservative budget on driving attention firstly to the new Social Media accounts and subsequently to the website. The results speak for themselves below.

Business couldn't be better at The Station Wahroonga! Within the first six months of trading The Station has risen in the Google rankings to the top and achieved some impressive traffic levels.

  • First 6 months
10,609 website hits by 7,367 unique people
  • July 2014
1837 website hits from 1395 unique people. That translates to between 50 - 80 hits a day.
  • Google
First in the rankings for a number of important keywords, with "Station Wahroonga" eclipsing even the actual railway station in Wahroonga.
  • Online bookings
The Station receives several table reservations per day through it's website.
All of this was achieved on a modest budget and within a short timeframe. I have both the design talent and the technical skills required to pull off results like these. If you would like to have a chat about your project please get in touch with me.
